This is your guide to your Senior Year of High School.

The following people are going to be an integral part to a successful Senior Year:

The Pembroke Pines Charter High School Scholarship Program for Seniors is open now! Interested students need to stop by the guidance office to pick up an application. The deadline is March 28th, 2008. Seniors must complete an application to be considered for any of the following awards - APPLICATIONS CAN BE PICKED UP IN GUIDANCE:

Jaguar Pride Award: awarded to a senior boy and girl who have consistently exemplified the qualities of a PPCHS student dedicated to the school’s mission, policies, and high academic standards.

Jaguar Perseverance Award: is awarded to a senior who has faced academic challenge and continually demonstrated outstanding commitment to both academic achievement and the school’s mission and policies.

Perfect Attendance Award: is awarded to students in the class of 2008 who have never been absent from school for the past academic year.

Learning Service Award: is awarded to the senior who has demonstrated outstanding and meaningful commitment by assisting members in the PPCHS community and the community at large.

Most Improved Student: is awarded to the senior who has shown the most improvement in academics, attitude, and behavior throughout the four years of high school.

You should be working on your College Applications. College Applications should be sent to your schools of choice by October or November. Get yourself prepared and APPLY EARLY. Check out the website for your college and find the application deadlines.

 The University of Miami's Ronald Hammond Scholarship is a full tuition scholarship to the University of Miami awarded to Florida High School Seniors who have excelled academically while demonstrating the need for diversity through student activities and/or community service. You must have already applied to the University of Miami. visit www.miami.edu/hammond for the application.  The deadline is January 15th, 2008.
