The 2008 Alexander Hamilton Citizenship Achievement Award for High School Juniors is now accepting applications. If you are chosen for this nationally recognized program, you will get a $500 cash award, an all-expense paid leadership training workshop in Seattle and much more!  Apply on-line at  www.hamitonfriends.org  The deadline is April 18th!

Attention Seniors: Do you live in Pembroke Lakes? If so, you may be eligible for the Pembroke Lakes Homeowners Association 2008 Scholarship. Here are some of the requirements:  3.0 Unweighted GPA, SAT score of 1000 or better
(reading/math only) or ACT score 21 or better, 500 word essay.  The deadline is April 15th, 2008.  See
Mr. Greenbaum in the Guidance Office for an application.

Seniors, are you interested in life science? The "Labs are Vital" scholarship program has developed a scholarship
contest. Contest entrants must submit a video, advertisement or T-Shirt design thatt causes others to consider

The following scholarship is for female students in grades 9-12:  The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is offering a scholarship designed for girls for who demonstrate budding entrepreneurship; taking the first steps toward financial independance; and making a difference in their school and community. The grand prize is a $10,000
scholarship! It's easy to enter. Nominees must submit a personal statement of no more than 250 words and a 750

Are you planning on playing collegiate athletics at a school that does not offer athletic scholarships? If so, check out
the Profession Athletes Foundation student scholarship. It is a one-time $2,500 scholarship. The student-athlete must

"Attention Seniors:  Check out the latest scholarship from Best Buy. If you have a 2.5 GPA or above and have

"Attention 11th and 12th graders:  The ACT is conducting a poster concept contest. You can enter the contest by designing a poster that encourages students to attend college and to take the ACT as their college entrance exam.
The ACT will use the winning design concept to produce the 2008-09 ACT test date info. poster that is sent to high
schools all across the nation. American Foreign Service National High School Essay Contest

The American Foreign Service National High School Essay Contest is open to all students in grades nine through twelve who are attending public, private or parochial schools, home schooled or participating in a high school correspondence program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories or as U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Non-U.S. citizens enrolled in U.S. high schools are also eligible to apply. If your parents are members of the American Foreign Service or are on the Steering and Advisory Committee for the contest, you are NOT eligible.
