PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT

Pembroke Pines Charter High School views guidance as a distinct educational tool that assists students in developing their academic, emotional and social potential. The philosophy of our guidance program is that each child is unique and possesses intrinsic personal worth and dignity. Each child in our school deserves unconditional positive regard and respect. In addition, all students have a right to guidance services. To make our philosophy reach its goals, we have implemented the Teacher as Advisor Program. Every teacher, guidance counselor, administrator, and student is involved in this program. In this program, students are able to meet weekly with a caring adult to discuss issues that pertain to school and personal matters. The goals of the program are listed below:
