Golf Tournament

The 6th Annual Pembroke Pines Charter School Golf Tournament hosted by Mayor Frank C. Ortis and Haskell – America’s Design-Build Leader will be held Friday, February 22nd from 10:30am-5:30pm at the Pembroke Lakes Country Club, 10500 Taft Street.

“Over $130,000 was raised at the 5th Annual Pembroke Pines Charter School Golf Tournament,” said Mayor Frank C. Ortis. “We exceeded our goal and are committed to exceeding last year’s success.  There are seven schools and over 5,000 students in our Charter School System, and all proceeds from the Golf Tournament directly enhance each student’s educational experience.”

Businesses are invited to invest in America’s largest municipally run charter schools by sponsoring one of many affordable sponsorship opportunities available.  Golfers can enjoy the green for $200 per player or $800 per four person team.

Havana Nights Event

Join the Pembroke Pines Charter School System for its 3rd annual Spring Fundraiser benefiting the Charter School Foundation on Saturday, April 12th at 7:30pm at the Pembroke Lakes Country Club, 10500 Taft St. This year’s theme is “Havana Nights!”

Dress for the fiesta in your guayaberas, linen suits and dresses! The night will include a Latin buffet, dancing, live entertainment, silent auction, and raffle. Tickets are $50 each, $90 per couple, or $450 per table of ten, the price includes the buffet, soft drinks, and dessert. This event is adults only please.

“This is going to be a great night for a great cause. Along with our ticket sales and silent auction, the Charter School Foundation also accepts with great appreciation Sponsorships, and Donations are always welcome,” said event organizer Virginia Doherty. Donations will be included in the program and event publications.

Gameshow Fundraiser

Pembroke Pines, FL…September 24, 2008… On Friday, October 10th at 6:30pm Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank C. Ortis will host the first ever Charter School gameshow fundraiser: “Can We Make a Deal?” The Gameshow fundraiser, to benefit the day to day operations of the Charter School System, will be held at the Susan B. Katz Theater at the Academic Village River of Grass Arts Park 17195 Sheridan Street and tickets are $20 per person.

Join the fun and you may be the winner of a great number of high end gifts including: a Flat Screen TV, a Blu-ray Disc Player, or a $500.00 Gift Certificate to Levinson Jewelers.
